Snuggle Buns Rule! The flavor was incredible, the design was a work of art, and I remember them fondly many years later. Please, please bring them back! Let’s start a petition, Twitter (X) campaign, Tik Tok videos, Instagram! Start a Go Fund Me Page and I’ll be the first to donate. The Go Fund Me page could be great PR for Toufayan and help build demand.

We closed our restaurant (Franks for the Memories) back in 2010, but still have fans that ask about us. One of the things is the Snuggles. If we had stayed open, we would have suffered when y’all stopped making them; it was bad enough when Sara Lee ceased making the Best Kosher hot dog, and we had to switch to Hebrew National…
So you have any plans to bring the Snuggles back? It looks like there is a fan club growing!
i was talking to my wife about these and it took me like 2 weeks before i found it again and im soo happy to find it and so sad they are no longer made for me the thing i remembers was the way they were packed and how they perfectly held the dog in place and did not split at the bottom when loaded with toppings

and hay ten years ago ya you needed a store to day you dont you can totally do a on line store or amazon it
whats im says is there or other ways to move your product that a brick and motor store
and you do have an interest in a renewal of that product
you can always do a limited run to retest the market and reto food items always hit big

I would like to purchase U shape snuggle hotdog buns in the Washington D.C area. The Giant Foods in Washington DC had a similar bun for years, now discontinued. If you don’t want to bring back the buns, make a snuggle hotdog bun baking pan for sell to the public so we can bake them ourselves. Or just sell me one.
Thanks for your comment. We haven’t produced Snuggles in over a decade. They were discontinued due to lack of interest among grocers. Unfortunately, it wasn’t just a baking pan, there was dedicated industrial equipment, which we’ve long since replaced. While we remember Snuggles fondly, and we’d love to bring them back, it’s been a difficult task to develop enough interest among grocers to get sufficient shelf space to make it possible for us to set up everything they would need and halt production on something else so that we could produce these again. If you get a chance to mention it to your store’s manager, it might help to create interest, and make it feasible for us to offer it to grocers again.
You can add my name to the list of Snuggles lovers who miss them very much. I’ve tried to make something similar at home, but no luck, yet. I understand they don’t seem to make business sense at this point–which was why you discontinued them in the first place–but there does seem to be a lot of interest on the Interwebs regarding this product. I would love to see them in stores, again.
With the popularity of hot dogs right now and a good advertising campaign I feel these would empty shelves. Schnucks was the only store in my area that used to seel them and you only knew about them if you shopped there. There is no reason these would not sell if people knew they were out there.

If the problem is having to purchase or create new machinery for manufacturing Snuggles and you don’t have the financing available…why don’t you create a GoFundMe page and let your customers help with the financing!! I would definitely contribute.

I Have been looking for these for years I finally thought to try the internet and I’m so sad to hear you stopped making them please consider bringing them back if it’s for the online summer grilling season only now that I have found your site I will check back periodically for updates
never could figure why they stopped making snuggles . great. Here in New England, my family loved them. Perfect size not too much bun, not falling apart. Texture was great, flavor was awesome. Please bring them back
Looking for Snuggle Buns to be made again. Please let me know if it is still a possibility that you will make them again. And anyway to make it gluten free? I know the taste may not be the same, but I can hope. Thank you.
Oh, my gosh, I was going to school at the culinary institute of America in the early 80s. It’s one of the saddest demises in food history that they are no longer around. They were absolutely fabulous.
You know the only reason why you ever had a slump in sales is because you put these things in front of the deli nowhere near where people look for hot dog buns. Properly placed these things would sell much better

I just found this page because my cousin told me you made the U-shaped buns. I used to get the same thing from Freihofer’s in the 80’s. Imagine my disappointment when I see all these comments about how you stopped making them. Those were seriously the most genius hot dog buns ever made and I’m convinced that with an investment into some marketing, you could get the word out and get more people to fall in love with them.
