      You’re very welcome, Stena.
We’re glad to hear from you. We’re always working on something new – and we’re happy to hear suggestions and comments.

      Hi Anna,
Sorry for your experience. It’s very hard to get pliability out of gluten-free products. It’s the gluten that provides the flex. Heating up the wraps helps tremendously. Please just give them another try. Place wraps on a microwave-safe plate with slightly damp paper towels between each one and cook on high for about 30 seconds to one minute (or until warm throughout). Even if you serve them cold, the extra pliability from the warmth can make wrapping them easier and the heat brings out the flavor as well.

I am 52 and found out one year ago I have celiac disease. I was devastated as I just love bread. I have a severe (anaphylactic) allergy to egg also! I work 12 hour shifts and my favorite go to food was always peanut butter on pita bread. I picked up toufayan wraps the other day from Vincenzo’s in Kitchener Ontario. I thought they were tortillas and was going to try peanut butter on them anyways. To my extreme delight I got to work and was so hungry I ate one. I can’t praise this company enough. It was so so so soft!!! I was so happy it was bread and not a tortilla!!! It was so delicious!!! I am so happy! I really thought my pita bread peanut butter days were over. Thank you!! I plan on going back this week and buying all the wraps in the store! I honestly would pay $100/pack! So delicious so soft so fresh. I have been spreading the word as I work in a busy emergency department and see many celiac patients. In fact we have 3 nurses and 1 doctor who are celiac. We share new wonderful finds and I must say this is the beat find for me yet!!! I am surprised about the person who bought it and it was stale. Mine is so fresh. It is my new favorite food and I plan on trying so many recipes with it. Thank you Toufayan. I can’t praise this company enough!!!! Going to post on Facebook now also!!

        1. Toufayan

          Hello Julie,

We are so pleased to hear how much you enjoy our Gluten-Free Wraps! We’d love to hear more about the recipes you’d like to try with them. Send us a recipe and maybe a photo and we’ll feature it on our website!

          Thanks & Enjoy!

  1. Patrick

I love your wraps. The only question I have is could you make them larger? I’d love to be able to get more into them without busting at the seams. If there’s ever an XL version I would absolutely buy them and I predict many others would too!
Thanks again for the great GF products.

    1. Toufayan

      Hi Patrick,

Thank you for your interest in our Gluten-Free Wraps. We will definitely pass your message along to our bakers!

      Thanks again!

  2. Nita

II love tour wraps, all of them. However ,I can’t find Ashely or use by date on the packaging. Can you tell me where it is? Thank you.

    1. Toufayan

Hi Nita, thank you for your endorsement!
It’s up to your grocer to add the date code. Usually printed on the bag near the bottom (opening side), or on a sticker. Gluten Free Wraps should be coded for 30 days.

      1. Jeff Baker

Can you explain this date a little more clearly. I bought some at our local grocery store on March 28 and the sticker on the package stated, sale by date which was April 1. Does this mean I only have days to eat these before they are bad?
If so that don’t say much for my local Publix store.
I eat the wraps because the gluten free bread is terrible but I have a feeling these are bad as the wraps have a funny odor to them.

        1. Toufayan

          Hi Jeff,

The date code is applied by your store manager. Toufayan Gluten Free Wraps have a 30 day shelf life. Please check with your grocer. You may be able to swap them out for a fresh package.

  3. Sue Paats

Hurray for FreshCo Windsor, ON! They are carrying your wraps. Look for them in the freezer section. I used to have to drive to Detroit, MI Meijer’s to find them.

  4. Amy

Love the wraps but recently purchased two packages that were immediately stale. Heating them up did no good. I’ve had this happen before but I’m really dismayed by it. I purchased them both at Hannafords.

    1. Toufayan

      Hello Amy,
We are sorry to hear about your experience. We hope you’ll try our Gluten-Free Wraps again. To help keep our Gluten-Free Wraps fresh and ready to eat we like to store them in a breadbox, or in the large shallow bowl that often holds onions in our kitchen. Make sure they are well-sealed with no air inside the package, and stored in a cool, dry place (above the fridge is too hot). We recommend that you don’t store them in the fridge, but if you do, remember that condensation will make them go stale, so consider double sealing them.
Usually, we heat up each wrap on the stove top or for a few seconds in the microwave with a damp paper towel to increase pliability and bring out the flavor.

We’ve been looking into more Gluten Free options, as we work out our best recipes, we’ll share them! Thanks for your interest, do you have any other suggestions?

      1. Ro

Just had the same experience. Came home 30 minutes ago with a pkg of the gluten free wraps…stale and falling apart as soon as i try to ”wrap” them around my chicken salad. Won’t buy these again Will stick with the low carb ones which have never been dry.

        1. Toufayan

I’m very interested in these products. However, while you list the nutritional information on your site, you do not list the ingredients.

    1. Toufayan

Thank you for your interest, Brad.
We do our best to maintain this website with the latest information. However, as our bakers constantly strive to provide the most wholesome, healthy and delicious recipes there are often small changes to the ingredient list. 6. Sue Soss

I am new to these gluten free wraps and just opened a pack of the savory tomato wraps. In making a tuna wrap just now, the edges immediately broke off as I was folding them. Is this typical, are the wraps old or is there some method to keep them moister? Thanks.

    1. Toufayan

Hi Sue and thanks for giving us a try.
Considering the nature of a Gluten-Free bread product, you will find that our Gluten-Free Wraps aren’t as soft and flexible as our Hearth Baked Wraps. To make up for this, we recommend that you apply heat (in the microwave with a slightly damp paper towel or over medium heat in a large pan with a little oil or butter until warmed) which will help to increase softness. Moisture helps to reduce crumbling.

  7. Tanis W

these wraps are amazing! I just used them to make Chicken Enchiladas and not only did they taste great and not gluten free at all, but they stayed together when I rolled them and didn’t disintegrate when cooked! One more thing to cross off my list of things I miss but can’t have! (corn tortilla’s aren’t the same)

    1. Toufayan

      Thanks for sharing, Tanis!
We’d love to share your recipe if you have any pictures or if you can give us a few details about how you made your enchiladas. In fact, now that you mention it, I know what I want for dinner tonight!

  8. virginia thomas

I was so happy to find a gluten free flour tortilla-like product! i try to modify all my recipes so I can eat similar to what i fix for my family and these were EXCELLENT! They rolled up in a sandwich without breaking like other brands i’ve used. your product is really good!

    1. Toufayan

We’re happy to hear that you liked them! Thank you. We’d love to hear about your recipe too – maybe we can feature it here on the website. Do you have any pictures?

    2. Linda

Gluten free wraps are excellent…wish I could find them near my home, got mine initially at Meijer in Bowling Green Kentucky while visiting friends. Any suggestions? Don’t see where they have them in Illinois.

We tried these when we were traveling in FL last summer and they were wonderful. So, I was thrilled when I found them in Central NJ this week. Do you have any suggestions on how to best store them once opened?

    Thanks!
PS Any chance there will be GF Pitas in the near future?

    1. Toufayan

Hello Nancy, we’re glad you like them! We keep our wraps in the breadbox, or in the large shallow bowl that often holds onions in our kitchen. Make sure they are well-sealed with no air inside the package, and stored in a cool, dry place (above the fridge is too hot). We recommend that you don’t store them in the fridge, but if you do, remember that condensation will make them go stale, so consider double sealing them.

I was able to have your gluten free wraps while I was on vacation in Florida! He only problem is that now that I’m home in Michigan I am on a mad hunt to find them again! Can I order them through your website, or are they available in stores somewhere near metro Detroit?! I’m on a macro specific prep and they are perfect, I need them!

    1. Toufayan

Hello Amanda, we’re glad to hear that you liked our Gluten-Free Wraps!

Martins and Spartan Stores carry our Gluten-Free Wraps in Michigan. Many small chains in Michigan carry Toufayan products, and might be willing to order more products from us if you ask them.
Download or print a copy of our Gluten Free Product request form to make it easier for your store manager to order our gluten free products. If your grocer has trouble reaching us, you can have them call 1-800-328-7482 or ask them to visit our contact page.

They are available online, but not directly from our facility, so if you do order them from the web, please tell us about your experience, here.
Let us know if you still need help looking or if you have any other questions.
      Thank you.

  11. Renee

I’m sorry, but your gluten free wraps are pretty bad !!!
Texture is strange, they crumble, and don’t taste good.
I tried them because they were on sale, though still pricey,
    and I wish I hadn’t.

    1. Toufayan

We’re really sorry you weren’t happy with them! Without gluten, the chewiness and the soft texture of bread products is very difficult to replicate using wholesome ingredients. We have found, just like our gluten-based products, if you apply heat you enhance the flavor and improve the texture.
Try warming them in the microwave with a slightly damp paper towel. Or, fry them in a pan with oil or butter until they start to form air pockets or darken in color.

Please give them a second chance and let us know how it went.
      Thanks for your feedback!

Toufayan Bakeries does not carry Gluten-Free Lavash at this time. However, we are working on bringing this to you as soon as possible. Please check back regularly to see if it becomes available. Currently, we offer Gluten Free Wraps and Gluten Free Pita Chips. Learn more about our Gluten Free products.

Also, allow me to address your other concerns, with a little explanation.
Toufayan Bakeries ships mainly to distributors who in turn ship to your local supermarkets. We are first and foremost a bakery and therefore our facilities are not set up to ship individual cases or smaller orders across the nation. We rely on local distributors. Our website does not serve as an ecommerce platform, this is a place for product information, recipe suggestions, new product announcements, community news and customer feedback and reviews.
You may find a map of the country on our where to buy page. From there you can click on a state to see a list of stores in your region that are part of our distributor’s reach. It is up to each individual store manager to stock Toufayan products or not, but those grocers listed on our where to buy page already have the availability to stock our products.
If you are interested in any of our products, please ask your favorite grocer to add them to their inventories or to contact us directly.

    Thank you so much.

I was reading through ingredients to see if these are vegan and noticed on your March 28th post the original gluten free you stated NO EGG enjoy to someone however this post states EGG. I don’t see any animal products listed on the spinach gluten free but now I’m concerned that perhaps I missed something? Can you clarify?

        1. Toufayan

Sorry if we weren’t clear: Gluten-Free Original Flavored wraps contain NO eggs. Due to popular demand, our bakers created a recipe that contains no eggs. That post listed ingredients from older packaging. At least for the past couple of years we haven’t used eggs in our Gluten Free Original Wraps. Please enjoy them in confidence.

Thanks for pointing out our type-o, we corrected it below to avoid any confusion.

  15. Maria Garcia

Hello! I bought some packages of Wraps (Orignal) in my recent trip to Aruba (I brought it home). I can not see de expiration date, how long can I keep it?,Once the package is open do I have to store in the refrigerator. Thank you in advanced 🙂

    1. Toufayan

      Thanks for your interest, Maria.
The sell by date of our Gluten Free Wraps is meant to be coded by your grocer. We recommend that the re-seller code these wraps with a 30 day shelf life. Sometimes these wraps are frozen for shipping and once thawed the 30 day expiration begins.
You do not need to refrigerate opened packages, though we do recommend ensuring a good seal. Store in a cool, dry area (on top of the fridge or toaster is usually too warm!) A bread basket on my kitchen counter works just fine in our home.
It is acceptable to freeze these wraps to extend their shelf life, however once defrosted you should use them immediately and not refreeze. When freezing products, remember to use an airtight container with as much air removed as possible and try to reach the frozen state as quickly as possible by first chilling in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours, in a sealed package, before moving to the freezer.

      1. Melanie

        Hello,
I purchased two packs of wraps dated 09/22. Today is 09/29, these have been refrigerated, are they still OK to eat? Also, this package has not been opened. Thanks for the countless packages I’ve purchased in the past! Fantastic product!

        Many thanks!
        Melanie

        1. Toufayan

          Hi Melanie,
We recommend that our Gluten-Free Wraps are marked for a 30 day shelf life after defrost. However, I have found that unopened packages often last much longer. Refrigerating the package doesn’t noticeably extend their shelf life, and we do warn against introducing moisture through condensation. Long before the Gluten-Free Wraps spoil, you will find that they become stale. Honestly, at that point I find them a little more pliable and easy to work with, though the flavor suffers dramatically. Some gluten-free tortilla chip recipes call for stale wraps.
So, while they are most certainly still safe to eat, they might not be as delicious as they were a few days ago. Let us know what you think.
          Thank you so much.

    2. Debra Bain

Hello my name is Debra and I am new to gluten free. I was recently at the hospital due to my condition. Do you make a gluten free that is dairy free as well (I am also lactose intolerant)? Again, Thanks to you and all your employees. “Would ya could ya a coupon pretty please.”
      Sincerly ,
      Debra Bain

      1. Toufayan

        Hello Debra,
You can see the ingredients of our Gluten Free wraps above – no dairy. You can enjoy them safely. Also, enjoy our Gluten Free Scoop-Able Pita Chips, which are dairy free.

*Tip: products that are certified Kosher, will have the kosher symbol on the front. If the product contains any dairy products (including eggs), the kosher designation will be “dairy”. Products with the pareve kosher symbol do not contain any dairy.

        Feel better and enjoy!

  16. Connie

I found your gluten free wraps at No Frills here in Ontario and absolutely love them. Finally a gluten free wrap that I can enjoy. One thing stands out…I have not had any issues with them falling apart. I have always joked about being a professional wrapper so maybe that helps
Thank you for making a great wrap

    1. Toufayan

      Thanks for your comment, Connie!
We would love it if you could share any tips or tricks you use with our community. A recipe or picture would be most welcome as well! Do you use any special hardware or ingredients?
      Thanks again!

I’m very disappointed in your gluten free spinach wraps. I have always loved your wraps but have new diagnosis of celiac disease so I can’t eat the regular wraps. They cracked and fell apart. I tried all the tips in your posts. So I’ll just have to do without. Sorry I was a hoping. Still use regular wraps for my family.

    1. Toufayan

      Hi Pam,
Thanks so much for your love and we’re sorry to hear the wraps aren’t holding up for you. We’ve looked into so many ways to emulate the flexibility of gluten. We’ll keep bringing suggestions to the bakers! Meanwhile, I do have one or two more suggestions to try. Since gluten allows bread to stretch, without it the wraps will become much harder to work with. A fair replacement for gluten is pectin (the plant-based version of gluten) or collagen (protein version).

      • Brush both sides of our Gluten Free wrap with butter, oil or lard and cook in a skillet or frying pan for a few seconds per side, or until lightly browned.
      • Or, Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add 1/2 cup light olive oil.)
Fry each wrap for about 10-30 seconds per side, until browned. The wrap should become softer and more pliable.
Place the hot wrap on a plate or tray lined with two sheets of paper towel and cover with two more sheets. Place the next wrap on top, and continue the process.

For me, it’s certainly worth the extra effort. When my doctor says I can’t eat some of my favorite foods, I’ll start looking for a healthier way to recreate that food, rather than go without it! If you are willing to give it one more shot, and you still don’t like how they come out, please don’t hesitate to contact us and let us know how it turned out!
      Thanks you.

      1. JOJO

        Hello,

I see the spinach gluten free wrap contains the ingredients of monoglyceride and glycerol ester. Are these ingredients by any chance derived from animals or are they derived from plants? Thank you

        1. Toufayan

Hello and thank you for your interest.
Rest assured that any Mono-and-Diglycerides used by our bakers in any of our products are purely vegetable-based.
Thanks again for your question and enjoy!

  20. Jeff

Who distributes your product in Ontario? I’m a retailer looking to buy your gluten free wraps wholesale to resell in our store. Thanks!

    1. Toufayan

Hello Jeff and thank you for your interest.
We don’t have steady distribution in Canada yet, but we are working on it! Please contact us directly, via +18003287482 or email info@toufayan.com and we’ll put you in touch with someone who can help you.

      Thanks again.

    2. Nora

Jeff, I hope that you are able to stock the wraps as I also live in Ontario and cannot find them anywhere, other than one small store that has frozen ones.

Toufayan, can you not find a distributor here? Loblaws used to stock your wraps but they have not had any for a long time. The Bakery Manager says that the supply is irregular so they cannot stock it.

They are excellent but impossible to find!

      1. Toufayan

Thanks Nora, for the lead! We’ll have someone look into distributors in Ontario and reach out to Loblaws as well!

  21. Vanessa

    THANK YOU!!!!

I was recently diagnose with Celiac Disease, I was depressed. I tried many breads and none of them I liked so far. I came across your wraps while walking through the deli section of the grocery store. I swear I heard ahhhhhhhh and the display was shinning from the lights above when I spotted them. I was excited to try it and I loved it so much. I now make sure to have it in stock at home. I have also tried the other kinds of wraps and the garden vegetable it my favorite.

  22. Kelly Schaefer

None of my area grocery store carries these. They are my favorite. Any other suggestions as to where I can find and buy these? Kelly

I have been struggling with my Celiac diagnosis, I cried for days, silly maybe, but my breads and pastas and wraps! What was I going to do? I found a decent bread, I came across an ok pasta, but never a wrap. I was crushed!
Until today ….. while shopping at fresh co I spotted “gluten free” and “wrap” out of the corner of my eye, I took a peek and bought all 3 of your wraps! I’m stuffing my face as we speak! Thank you for shining some light on my new eating experience. I’m forever grateful!!!
    Katy

    1. TOUFAYAN

That’s so great to hear, Katy, enjoy! We’ll be working on other Gluten Free products in the future too! Look for our Gluten Free pita chips (psst, you can use GF Salted Caramel Pita Chips to make pie crusts instead of graham crackers, or make quesadilla with the wraps).
Check out our recipe page for some great meals and look for gluten free focused recipes in the near future.

Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss, Goodie Girl Cookies! Some of the most delicious cookies you’ll ever find – you won’t believe they’re all Gluten Free.

I bought these wraps because my daughter has a gluten sensitivity when she refused to eat them i didn’t want to throw them a way so i tried to make use of them. .I found these wraps to be incredibly frustrating. I could live with the lack of flavor but the structural weakness was to much no mater what i tried to wrap in them they fell apart and made a mess i eventually gave up and feed the last 2 pack to my chickens, on the plus side my chickens loved them . I would not recommend them at all.

    1. Toufayan

Aww, we’re sad to hear that :’-(
I’ve found that if you heat up the Gluten Free wraps it makes them much more pliable. A slightly moist paper towel between each wrap, on a microwave safe plate, heated on high for about 40 seconds works well. Without gluten there isn’t much to hold it together so the warmer it is the less brittle it becomes. Even in the image above you can see some tearing where we wrapped them tighter, but a little water and some heat is all you need. For further flexibility add a thin layer of spreadable fat like mayo, oil, butter or similar on the inside. Personally, I prefer the Spinach variety, not just because they are green but they seem a little easier to fold too. Won’t you give us one more chance?

Thanks for your feedback. Whatever you decide, we hope you and your family find something that works well and tastes good!

Hi we live in georgetown ontario. Near toronto. We found your gluten free wraps on a trip and both my wife and daughter, who are celiac, love them. Far better than anything else out there. Is there a retailer in my area that sells them?

    1. Toufayan

      Harold,
Our Gluten-Free Wraps are not available throughout Canada yet. We are working with Canadian Bakers to bring our products to you. My wife about died and went to heaven when we found your gluten free wraps. She has been gluten free for years now and have not been able to find a suitable tortilla. Then at Wal-Mart we discovered your fabulous creation. It was short lived though. Our Wal-Mart’s have discontinued your product. Luckily I purchased the last 6 bags before they discontinued it. However now she is saving the last couple she has for a special occasion knowing we can not find them anywhere in town any more. Wish there was other ways to purchase your product.

    1. Toufayan

Thank you for your interest, Kaalub, we hope we can help your any your wife find some more Gluten Free wraps!

  27. Rob

Love your wraps but I’ve been disappointed that the diameter size has been reduced so much. Used to be just 1 or 2 per package that were smaller, but now all 6 are. They were the perfect size before. Please go back! Thanks.

    1. Toufayan

      Hi Rob,
We’re disappointed to hear that! As you know, our hearth baked wraps aren’t machine-made so they all come out a little different. However, they shouldn’t be smaller! Can you tell us what store you purchased them from, or the lot number from the UPC? We love to hear your feedback so we can improve our quality control!

Please feel free to contact a representative at info@toufayan.com, we’d appreciate any help you can give us.

      Thanks!

  28. Andrea

Hi, what is the best way to keep the wraps fresh once opened? And can you store them in the freezer?
    Thanks

    1. Toufayan

We recommend that you store our Hearth Baked Wraps in a cool dry place, room temperature is usually fine. Avoid storing bread on top of the refrigerator, because that area is usually warmer than the rest of your kitchen. Some people prefer to store bread in the fridge. That’s fine, just make sure that the bag is well-sealed. I use a gallon-sized storage bag and just place the packaging whole inside the bag. If you do keep it chilled, we recommend a short spin in the microwave before serving (on a microwave safe plate, cover the each wrap with a slightly damp paper towel and microwave on high for 20-30 seconds).

It is okay to freeze bread, just be sure that the bag is perfectly sealed with little or no air inside. It is best to freeze things that are already chilled, to ensure even temperature changes. Defrost overnight in the refrigerator and use within three days of defrosting. Breads can be kept frozen safely for up to 3 months.
      Enjoy!

I just bought the gluten free wraps in Montego Bay Jamaica. I’ve never seen them in my area. Can I purchase anywhere in St. Louis, MO? Or order online?

My local Walmart used to carry these gluten free tortillas but recently that haven’t had them and they say unavailable on the Walmart website. I can’t find any other retailers that carry the gluten free tortilla in Texas. Where can I buy them??

    1. Toufayan

      Hello Brittany,
Albertsons, BGC Brookshire, Brookshire Brothers, Fiesta, Grocers Supply, HEB, Kroger and Sprouts all carry some of our products, as well as Walmart.

Same with my local Walmart. I spoke with the manager, wrote down the information for him and basically he said; too bad Walmart won’t bring back something they have discontinued. Very disappointing. Toufayan GF Wraps are the best I have found.
I’ll take my grocery shopping somewhere else…

      1. Toufayan

      Hello Chris,
What a great idea! Currently we don’t offer 12″ food service Gluten Free Wraps, though it’s such a good idea we’ll take it to the bakers right away – look out for them in the future. Meanwhile, we do offer traditional wraps in a Food Service size.

I have always avoided modified food starch in my gluten free diet. What is your modified food starch made from that it can be considered gluten free

    1. Toufayan

      Hello Charlotte,
We are sensitive to the needs of celiac sufferers as well as the needs of the families that rely on our breads. All of our Gluten Free Wraps are made with a modified food starch that contains only corn starch and tapioca starch.

    1. Toufayan

      Hello Paula,
I know, tempting, right? They might be okay, but my official answer is to throw them away.
      Better safe than sorry ‘:-(
(Gluten Free Wraps should be coded with a 30 day shelf life)

    1. Toufayan

      Hello Beth,
At home we keep them in the bread basket. Somewhere dry, away from heat sources (avoid putting them on top of the fridge, near an oven or toaster or in direct sunlight).
We have found that they do freeze well, just ensure that they are well sealed before placing them in the freezer. A vacuum sealer works well or plastic freezer bags with the air carefully removed. You will also find that it is better to chill them in the refrigerator for at least twenty minutes before placing them in the freezer, to reduce condensation. When you defrost them, a slow defrost overnight in the refrigerator works well too!
For short term storage, we use their own resealable bag in the breadbox (they usually get eaten before long anyway).

  38. Lydia Fragoso

I love pita bread but be better if non GMO present in product. So i will be seeking your wonderful idea of non GMO.

    1. Toufayan

We are striving to achieve our delicious recipes using only non-GMO ingredients. Some of our farms and recipes already comply with all non-gmo project requirements, but for official recognition, all aspects of our processes must be approved – which may take a little while. Check our Certifications page for updates.

  39. M

so if the store where these were purchased did not put a sell-by date on them how is a customer to know how long these wraps are good for because on the package that I have there is absolutely no indication. thank you

    1. Toufayan

      M,
Our Gluten Free Wraps are meant to be marked with a 30 day shelf life, after defrost. You can also tell that they are nearing the end of their shelf life by their brittleness. Fold one in half and press down on the seam, if the whole side breaks off, they are too brittle and probably too old. However, since this is a Gluten-Free product, some brittleness is to be expected. If the wraps are a little stiff for your liking, place them on a microwave safe plate with a layer of slightly moist paper towel between each one and microwave on high for about 30 seconds. As they cool, they will be more flexible and softer.
Sorry about your experience. Let us know what store you purchased these in, perhaps we can mention it to someone up the chain.

  40. Annie

I made chicken/avocado/spinach artichoke/Munster cheese quesadillas for dinner last night using the spinach flavor of the gluten free wraps and they were AMAZING! I also enjoy the original flavor as well for tacos, tortilla wraps etc. Hoping to be able to find the other two flavors in my local area (Gretna/Omaha NE) soon!

    1. Toufayan

Wow, that sounds delicious! Send us the recipe and maybe a photo and we’ll feature it on our website!
Sorry that some of our Gluten Free products aren’t available in your area. You can ask your grocer to add them to their inventory. To help them along, print this Gluten Free Product request form form and bring it to your store’s manager.

        1. Toufayan

          Hello,
We are working on it! You are not alone in looking forward to this, but without gluten, the pita bread can be way to hard. Our bakers are looking for away to bring you the great taste and texture of grandpa’s recipes, but with a Gluten Free option as well. Please be patient as we work it out!

      1. Lisa

Hello! My son is gluten free and loves your wraps. He uses them a lot for quesadillas. Unfortunately, they appear to be getting quite a bit smaller lately, because they no longer fit in our quesadilla maker. What is the reason for this? I may have to switch to another brand.

        1. Toufayan

Hello Lisa and thank you for your endorsement!

I used to think butter was the answer to everything until today. I forgot to buy butter at the store and didn’t want to go back and buy some. Sooooo, I warmed up one of your gluten free (original) wraps in the microwave and had it plain with my chili. I just want to thank you for making these. They are so good. I had them last week as my “sandwich” of avocado, tomato, spinach and cucumber. I thought those were the best until today. Thank you very very much. (I buy them in Vermont, in case you need to know that for marketing purposes.)
I wonder what I’ll make next week?!

mmmm Gluten Free Chili wraps… lemme just add that to my diet-safe list…
Those sound great, Jeannette. Thanks for sharing! For me, I love to take left over rice and beans or chicken and rice and make a nice big burrito. Or better still, freshly cooked blackbeans with a little fresh cilantro, some diced raw onions, salt and pepper and some minced poblano peppers all rolled up in a Spinach gluten-free Wrap. Mmmm.

I have to start this off by saying that I have NEVER written a review for any product or service but felt compelled to write a review or the Gluten Free wraps. I was recently advised by my Dr. to start a FODMAPs diet which means that I am gluten free, lactose free, soy free, bean free, onion and garlic free along with a whole bunch of other restrictions. I went on vacation in Florida in December after only being on my new diet for less than two months and discovered your gluten free wraps at Publix. Every day, I packed a wrap sandwich in the cooler to take to the beach with me. Each and every day, the wraps held up to being in a cooler with waters and other snacks but most importantly I felt like I was eating “normal” food because it didn’t taste like it was gluten free! I went back to MN and went looking for the wraps but could only find gluten free tortillas that I have only had crumble when I tried to wrap or fold them. I was so excited that I was able to locate one store in MN that carried the Toufayan Gluten Free wraps and it was only 20 minutes away. I was so excited that today I was able to enjoy a wrap sandwich with my Toufayan sandwich wraps.

    1. Janice

Hi. Thank you for sharing your review about your wrap experience. I just bought these for my boyfriend because he is having stomach problems and they seem to act up when he eats wheat. I have been making pinwheels out of just meat but saw the gluten free wraps at the grocery store, Publix (I live in S.Fla), tonight and bought them. I have to say I am very disappointed. I am either doing something wrong in the prep or have a defective package of wraps. I make wraps quite often out of tortillas and they don’t fall apart. I slightly lifted one side of the wrap to wrap up the meat and it broke in half. My boyfriend then proceeded to try and now we have a pile of broken pieces around some meat and cheese. Any suggestions on what might help us here would be greatly appreciated. I just read your response again prior to sending and noticed that you are restricted from soy as well. The package of wraps I have contain soy. They are the toufayan gluten free original wraps. Perhaps you are using a different kind and that is why yours don’t fall apart. Please help. Thank you again.

      1. Toufayan

        Hello Janice,
It is the gluten that usually holds the wraps together, however, we have found that if you moisten the wraps a little and heat them up, they will conform to the shape of your pinwheels without ripping so easily. Separate wraps on a microwave-safe plate using slightly moist paper towels and heat on high for about thirty to forty-five seconds. Prepare your sandwiches with the warm wraps right away. You can reseal unused wraps or heat them up again if they get cool. Once they are folded or wrapped, if the wraps get cool again, they should remain in that shape without as much risk of falling apart.
Please let us know about your experience!
        Thanks.

I purchased some of your GF Wraps this past summer, as we were traveling, and they are the best product I have found to date that my daughter can eat. She is also allergic to egg so I was surprised to see on this questions and answer section that you list eggs on the ingredient list. The package that I purchased did NOT have egg in it. I have since found an ingredient list online that shows NO EGGS on it. Did you change your recipe recently to include eggs? Here is the link:
    wegmans.com
I am afraid to try to purchase these online now since I don’t know which products will have egg or not. Please consider offering these completely egg free as well, there are so many GF with egg and a large population that is allergic to both gluten and eggs.

    1. Toufayan

Hello Kristi and thank you for your endorsement!
The currently available Gluten Free Wraps do contain both Soy and Egg. The listed ingredients on the Wegman’s site to not appear to be correct. For some time now the ingredients for our Gluten Free Wraps, Original Flavor, are as follows:

Ingredients: Tapioca Starch, Water, rice flour, soybean flour, shortening (canola oil, palm and palm kernal), food starch modified (corn starch, tapioca starch), potato starch, contains 2% or less of each of the follow: yeast, baking powder (calcium acid pyrophosphate, sodium, bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate, calcium sulfate), whole eggs, fumaric acid, mono and diglycerides with citric acid (a preservative), maltodextrin, dextrose, xanthan gum, egg whites, calcium propionate (to maintain freshness) salt.
      Contains: Soy, Egg

Those are the ingredients listed on the package, please let us know if you find packages that do not match. You can contact a Toufayan representative at info@toufayan.com for more information. We will offer your suggestion of an egg and gluten free wrap to our bakers.

Eggs aren’t dairy. It’s separate from a milk allergy. Just mentioning, as you may get the wrong response of asking about dairy.

The gF Toufayan wraps are incredibly good! We live in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, and I am not sure what store I even purchased them in!
They are excellent! I have two boys, 16 and 13 … they LOVED the Spinach wrap, better than the original. Who would’ve thought?!
Thank you for making life easier.
    So glad for your product.

  50. Linda Pishock

Hi, until recently I’ve been purchasing your gluten free wraps at Walmart, they don’t carry them any more. Your website listed Weis market, & Shoprite, I went to the closest one of both and neither one carry them. Can you give me an updated location where I can find them? They are the only thing I can make a sandwich with that I like. Thank You, Linda

    1. Toufayan

Hello Linda and thank you for your endorsement!
While we do ship our Gluten Free wraps to Weis and Shoprite, the individual franchises tend to vary in their selection within each state. You can check your favorite grocer’s other locations, or you can request that your store manager add the Gluten Free Wraps to their inventory. For your convenience, here is a product request form you can print and bring to your store.

      Hello Laurie,
Unfortunately, we do not have an egg-free alternative gluten free wrap. However, you can try our new Gluten Free Pita Chips, which are egg free. We’ll mention the idea of a gluten-free, egg-free alternative to our bakers for you.

My Gluten-free wife, and I love making lunches with the Wrap-itz (by Tam-x-icos). The flavor is perfect, and it holds together well, whether in a Quesadilla or sandwich wap.
However, my last two batches of these, the layers were fused (I took a picture) and impossible to separate. That was disappointing. Is it the packing process? Transportation? How the store stacked them on the shelf? I want to avoid getting another fused stack of the Tortilla wraps. These are too good to quit on them now…

    1. Toufayan

Hello Gordon, and thank you for your interest
We haven’t changed our recipe for Wrap-itz. We ship our wraps flash frozen, for maximum shelf life, ensuring a fresher product off the shelf. It is possible that the grocer thawed them too slowly, or stacked them too high while they thawed. This may cause an issue like what you are experiencing. I suggest mentioning this to your store’s manager, and returning any unsatisfactory products for a refund. Let us know if you continue to receive wraps with this issue. You can contact us on this website, or email us directly at info@toufayan.com.

Kelly, If you have a Foodtown, Shoprite, Superfresh or Weiss nearby, you can purchase them there. Otherwise, you can ask your local grocer to add them to their inventory. 55. Melissa

I went to a restaurant this past weekend and had a gluten free breakfast sandwich with sausage egg whites and mozzarella. It was delicious!!! I asked them what they used for the wrap and they brought me your wrapper. I’ve never had a gluten free breakfast sandwich and the wrap was so tasty I had to let you know. I’m running out this week to buy some! Thanks for making such a great product!

  56. Rachel

Are your gluten-free wraps and gluten-free pita chips made in the same factory and on the sane equipment as your regular products? Worried about cross contamination (I have celiac) and can’t find any info on your packaging or website. Thanks!

    1. Toufayan

Hello Rachel, we appreciate your concern. Our Gluten-Free products are not made on the same equipment that processes products with gluten.

  58. Bobbie

Hi. We love your wraps! The gluten free ones. Our local Wegmans stopped carrying them. Could you tell me where I can find them in the Baltimore, Maryland? Thanks, Bobbie Norris

    1. Toufayan

Hello Emelie, we don’t recommend that you refrigerate the wraps. However, personally I have found that there doesn’t seem to be a drawback to keeping them in the fridge (I usually put them in the deli drawer). Either in or out of the fridge, I prefer to transfer them to a one gallon resealable freezer bag from which, in my opinion, is easier to remove excess air. If they seem a little stiff or brittle, I recommend sprinkling a few drops of water on paper towels and placing the wraps between the slightly damp layers, then microwave for about 20 seconds to enhance pliability.

  59. Sue

I see that your wraps are Gluten free but I cannot find an ingredients list. My Mom is allergic to wheat …but also has other allergies.

    1. Toufayan

Hello Sue. Our Original Gluten Free wraps include tapioca starch, rice flour, soybean flour, vegetable oil, corn starch, potato starch, calcium, whole eggs and salt. Please see the packaging for other ingredients (2% or less).

Hi- I just love your gluten free wraps. Especially the spinach ones. I wanted to make a suggestion – please consider making these without artificial colors. Most people avoid artificial colors because they’re unhealthy.
But these are the best gf wraps out there! I hope you’ll consider my suggestion.
    Thank you.

    1. TOUFAYAN

Hello Alexandra, and thank you for your suggestion! We would love to replace the artificial coloring with all natural ingredients and we are working hard to accommodate your request! Please give us some time to work it out, meanwhile enjoy our wholesome, Gluten Free Wraps! Thank you.

We enjoy the gluten free wraps, but I noticed there is no sell date on the package. Can you advise the shelf life on this item? And can these be frozen?

    Thank You

    1. Toufayan

      Thanks for your comment, Michele.
The sell by date of our Gluten Free Wraps is meant to be coded by your grocer. We recommend the reseller to code these wraps with a 30 day shelf life. Sometimes these wraps are frozen for shipping and once thawed the 30 day expiration begins.
It is acceptable to freeze these wraps to extend their shelf life, however once defrosted you should use them immediately and not refreeze. When freezing products, remember to use an airtight container with as much air removed as possible and try to reach the frozen state as quickly as possible. To speed the freezing process, refrigerate your wraps unpackaged spread out on a sheet pan until thoroughly chilled (about 2 hours). Place the sheet pan in the coldest part of your freezer for 2 more hours or until frozen. Remove the sheet pan and place your frozen wraps in an airtight container. Defrost within 3 months. For best results, defrost in the refrigerator overnight.
