Just bought 2 Packs of Your whole wheat bagels. It says,it has 14g of Protein in it. However I cloudnt find any ingredients that where the protein coming from. ?

I’ve never purchased your brand prior to today, I did a store pick up at our local Banks Market in Paducah KY & this was a substitution item. But I am looking forward to trying it. I see that you state should be eaten or frozen within 5-7 days. The store printed sticker date they put on was Oct 31 which is 18 days from today.(confusing) Should this be stored in the crispness bin of the refrigerator ? I know the brand I usually get have a longer use by dates on it but is cold to the touch & in the refrigerated area of the grocery. Also, it is ODD that neither freezing nor heating instructions are printed on the packaging as others have mentioned. Appreciate answering the questions above. Much thanks.

Thanks for your questions and your interest! That 18 day store sticker seems like a mistake to us. Also that you found the bagels in the refrigerator. Our Hearth Baked Bagels are meant to be kept at room temperature. At home, we store them in the bread box, away from heat or direct light. We don’t recommend refrigerating them, but if you do chill any bread product, be sure the package is moisture-free and well-sealed. You may freeze unopened packages for up to 8 months and thaw them at room termperature for about 2-3 hours. After thawing, we recommend using them within the remaining time up to 5-7 days.

Hearth Baked Classic Plain Bagels (10g of protein), I have had them for a while but have not opened them and they were stored in a room-temperature slightly cooled kitchen… They haven’t seemed to have gone bad or produced a foul odor. I was wondering if the shelf life was different for these?

We instruct our grocers to mark our Hearth Baked Bagels and Mini Bagels wiht a 5-6 day shelf life. However, depending on how the grocer handled them and how soon they put them on the shelf, there may be a little wiggle room. As with most bread products, if you notice the date code is soon or past, you should inspect them carefully. Your eyes and your nose can confirm if they are still fresh. Look for any discoloration to indicate that they have passed their shelf life. If you freeze the bagels early in their shelf life, you can typically expect to get another 5-6 days out of them after defrost, however, you should inspect them closely before eating or preparing.

There is no explanation on the bag what to do with the bagels if you have to bake them or that they are ready to eat by just warming up?

Our Hearth Baked Bagels are ready to eat right out of the bag. You can set them in the toaster oven to bake for a few minutes at 350° F to warm them up or toast them to your desired crispiness, warming them up will enhance the flavor.

I agree – nothing at all! Are you guys aware that people buy them frozen and got no clue what to do with them? Whoever made the decision to not place this information at all got a very bad idea. Very bad “user experience”.

Our Hearth Baked Bagels aren’t intended to be sold frozen, however, you can freeze unopened packages for up to 8 months. If you recently purchased our products frozen, we’d love to hear more about where you bought them. Some of our customers like to heat up the bagels in the oven or toaster, my family likes to just eat them out of the bag. How do you prefer to eat Toufayan Hearth Baked Bagels?
I live in Hackensack and this last Thursday I purchased your blueberry bagels. The store name is The Giant Farmer’s Market and apparently they don’t know about the short shelf life of your product. I sadly today was going to eat one and it had started to mold :(. I was very much so looking forward to trying your product and they put a pull date sticker of 08/31/19! Seeing as you have stated they have a 5-6 day shelf life maybe this is the freezer shells life and not the secondary?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The best-by-date should indeed be 5-6 days. From frozen, the shelf life is up to 3 months, however, we do not code the cases. We’ll ask one of our quality control staff members to contact the supermarket to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

I found your toufayan whole wheat bagels by accident in a store in stockbridge, ga and really, really loved them. Now, I can’t find them and can’t figure out where I can purchase them .I wish that I had an order form with the bar code on it to see if a can have my store more conveniently order them. It’s hard for me to find a great whole wheat bagel of that quality . Please help me able to purchase them all of the time.

We don’t distribute a lot of bagels in GA, but you should try Winn-Dixie (they usually stock our Smart Bagels), and Publix carries many of our products. Please ask your store manager to contact us to order more Hearth Baked Bagels.
Tried your bagels as an alternative to that other brand. They are great but no raisins in the firs 2 I tried. Shall I send down some?

Howdy Folks, lately your Cinnamon Raisin Bagels have developed a strange taste and texture. The best way i can describe it is, the dough has a finer texture, much like most Blueberry Bagels have. It’s like the Dough was mixed for the Blueberry and Raisins were added. Almost as if someone tried to save a batch or mixed it by mistake. There is almost no Cinnamon taste to them. When the bag is open they smell Blueberry not Cinnamon. I do like your products and will keep on buying them. Thanks Yall…

Hi! I always find your Blueberry bagels in the aisle part of the store, not refrigerated. I always put them in the fridge to make them last longer. Last time they were on the fridge for a long time and the electric outages spoiled it. Can I store the last 3 bagels I have left in the freezer to make them last a bit longer? Thanks

At home, I occasionally freeze our bagels and they defrost quite well for us. The key is to chill them first, at least 20 minutes to an hour in the fridge before freezing them. Also, make absolutely sure that they are well sealed with as little air as possible before chilling or freezing. Even a little moisture or condensation can make them become stale very quickly. When you defrost them, leave them at room temperature for a few hours, do not heat them from frozen.
The bagels can remain frozen for up to 3 months if well sealed, but once defrosted you should use them within a day or two.

How to check freshness dates on your Bagels
The code date should be printed by your grocer, sometimes on the bag and sometimes on the twist-lock. Toufayan heath baked bagels are meant to be coded for 5-6 days after defrost.

I was looking at purchasing Hearth Baked Classic Plain Wraps, the Everything Smart Bagels, the Hearth Baked Blueberry Bagels and the Hearth Baked Classic Plain Mini Bagels. However I noticed that they all have Mono-and-Diglycerides listed in the ingredients and I was wondering if these are from an animal or vegetable source?
